Ecosystem

We believe that success is not an isolated phenomenon; it can be achieved but not sustained without the support of the community around you. Pupil Tree is attempting a task so mammoth in both its proportions and implications that to succeed in our endeavour we want to first create conditions conducive to the onset of the kind of change that we want to bring in.

Pupil Tree Schools have evolved a support system for such a change through certain social commitments they have taken upon themselves. These projects are aimed at involving the community in the learning process and letting it benefit through the resources pooled in by the school.

Through our social commitment we hope to bring a qualifying change in the lives and mindset of students, the underprivileged section, teachers and parents.

Our efforts include

  • GIVING TREE

Giving Tree is a free preparatory school run by Pupil Tree Schools for lesser privileged children. Children studying here are provided with books, study materials and uniforms by Pupil Tree. We hope to provide free education to nearly a hundred children free of cost at Giving Tree.

  • BELAKU

Regular workshops are conducted for teachers at Belaku Teacher Development Institute under the aegis of Teaching Tree Foundation set up by Pupil Tree. Belaku which means radiance helps spread the light of knowledge by organising workshops that help teachers enhance their skills and add value to their professional lives. They serve as on-the-job training capsules which assist the teaching community to imbibe complex and emerging concepts in the education arena. Belaku workshops are about enhancing Subject knowledge, using technology in classrooms, understanding Child development principles, Child psychology, Classroom management, Personality development, Leadership Development, Communication skills, Multiple Intelligences and many more topics.

  • BUDHI

Budhi is a project which caters to Parental learning. Budhi has held more than 50 workshops so far which are aimed at enabling parents to participate meaningfully in child development & learning. Besides imparting parenting skills these workshops include awareness generating topics such as education, discipline, child rights and development, child psychology, parenting skills, how to bring up your children the right way, health, physical and oral hygiene and other related themes.

  • AASPADA

Aaspada meaning opportunity is a free, open to all Special Education program carried out at pupil Tree schools which is aimed at helping children who suffer from learning difficulties such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Reading Disability (Dyslexia), Writing Disability (Dysphasia) and Mathematical Disability (Dyscalculia). At this one of its kind Centre, we practice a policy of ‘No child left behind’ (NCLB). Specially trained teachers and counselors who specialize in this field help slow learners overcome their learning difficulties. Aaspada addresses the need for special education for such children so that they can remain at par with their peers. The entire teaching and learning process at Aaspada is designed to give ample time for all children to learn at their own pace. Multiple teaching strategies are used to teach concepts and remedial classes are conducted for slow learners.
