Mr. Prabhu Raj Jahagirdar
Thought leader and Educationist

Prabhu Raj hails from a well known and illustrious family of educationists and elected public representatives. The family has been running various educational institutes in Karnataka for more than 30 years. Having earned tremendous goodwill and trust of the people for generations, the family took to active public service through progressive politics after India attained independence. Prabhu Raj`s grandmother and father are both well respected parliamentarians.

Prabhu completed his B.A from Loyala College, Chennai with History, Politics and Culture as subjects. He chose Political Science as his area of study in M.A which he completed from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi. After receiving a scholarship from the Birla Foundation, he pursued MBA from the prestigious University of Wollongong, Sydney, Australia, where he specialized in Total Quality Management. As a student, he chose to work to earn his keep and plunged headlong into the toil and struggle the common man faces everyday.

He's worked in an Italian restaurant, at McDonald`s, as a trolley puller in Woolworth, tried his hand at telesales selling teddy bears and finally served in Arthur & Anderson (Accenture today). After completing his MBA Prabhu joined the IT industry. He worked in QAI in Delhi for a brief period. Then he joined Virtual Dynamics as a T&D Manager in Bangalore and later took up as Manager HR & Training in Tory Harris Business Solutions. After spending about 4 years in the IT industry he quit and became an entrepreneur.

He understands the primary problems which society faces and in many parts of the world including India, access to quality education is one of them. The solution that he envisions is of bringing a` liberating` education system to as many people as he can. He knows the chinks in the armour, the gap between what is and what should be, the gap between the promise of fulfillment and the actual fulfillment. The thought leader in him has seen the opportunity and grasped it. Pupil Tree is his brainchild and also the journey towards emancipation. Total and complete emancipation!



Ms. Sucharita Sriram

An effective leader, a talented teacher and an able administrator Ms Sucharita Sriram, Director, Pupil Tree Schools is all this and more. Ms Sucharita completed her M.A and M.Phil in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

After a brief stint as a Project Co-ordinator with UNICEF in Bangalore, she plunged full time into the field of education. She is also Chief-mentor at Pupil Tree School, Bellary.
